Section 147 explains the concept of "deemed exports" in the context of goods supplied within India. According to this section, the government has the authority to classify certain supplies of goods as deemed exports based on recommendations from the Council. These goods, although not leaving the country, can qualify as deemed exports if they are manufactured in India. Payment for these goods can be made in either Indian rupees or convertible foreign exchange. This provision allows for certain supplies to be treated as exports for regulatory purposes, even if the goods remain within the country's borders.
