Amendment of Section 24: Inclusion of Online Money Gaming Suppliers

Section 24 of the principal Act has been amended to address the regulation of online money gaming. The amendment involves two specific changes. Firstly, the word "and" at the end of clause (xi) has been removed. Secondly, a new clause, labeled as (xia), has been added. This new clause specifies that any person who supplies online money gaming services from outside India to individuals within India is now included under the provisions of this section. This amendment aims to bring suppliers of online gaming services from abroad under regulatory oversight, ensuring they comply with the same rules as domestic suppliers. This change reflects the growing importance of regulating online gaming activities, especially those crossing international borders, to ensure fair play and consumer protection.
