Key Pointers –
- The CBIC has clarified that the raise in GST collection in October is on account of economic activity and not due to notices being issued by tax authorities to Online gaming companies.
- The Department will soon start sending advisories to businesses who are non-compliant in issuing e-invoices to their B2B customers.
- CBIC has also point out that there was healthy growth in GST revenue from Integrated GST (IGST) on imports also as imports rose compared to earlier months citing that companies were maybe replenishing their stocks, inventories or due to the upcoming festive season.
