GST News - GSTN has revised the AATO amendment window for FY 2025–26 to 1–31 July 2026, enabling enhanced system functionality and automatic AATO updates [Advisory attached]

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has announced a revised timeline for amending the Aggregate Annual Turnover (AATO) for the fiscal year 2025–26. Taxpayers will now have the opportunity to make amendments from July 1 to July 31, 2026, a shift from the previous May window. This change is part of an effort to improve system functionality and ensure automatic updates to AATO as subsequent GST returns are filed, promoting more accurate and consistent turnover reporting.
Following the submission of amendments by taxpayers, jurisdictional tax officers will have a designated period from August 1 to August 15, 2026, to review the revised AATO details. This verification period is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of the reported figures.
Taxpayers are advised to carefully verify all amended AATO details before submission. In case of any issues during the amendment process, they are encouraged to utilize the GST Portal's Self-Service grievance mechanism. This advisory aims to help taxpayers navigate the amendment process effectively and ensure compliance with the updated timelines and procedures.
