They have sought an Advance Ruling on the correct classification of RBD Palmolein used as Lamp Oil' in pooja room as whether it should be classified as an edible oil or as lamp oil.
The authorities observed that inasmuch as the said Mahara Jyothi oil, is edible and is RBD Palmolein without any additives or mixture of other oils, it is rightly classifiable under 1511 90 20.
