GST News: Due to GST Portal Glitch, Govt Likely to Extend March'26 GSTR-3B Due Date by One Day

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has acknowledged the technical issues encountered by taxpayers on April 20th while filing their returns. In response to these challenges, the government is contemplating extending the deadline for the monthly GSTR-3B return by one day. This would move the due date from April 20th to April 21st.
An official notification regarding this possible extension is still pending. The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has expressed regret over the technical difficulties faced by taxpayers during return filing on 20th April.
Based on feedback from GSTN, the Government is considering a one-day extension for filing the monthly GSTR-3B return, shifting the due date from 20th April to 21st April.
An official notification is awaited. Taxpayers are advised to stay alert for further updates and plan filings accordingly.
